Nintendo has just rolled out a significant update (4.0.0.) to its most recent console, the Nintendo Switch. However, It’s not the one of the biggest updates ever, but it has some noteworthy changes. Here are the changes coming to the Switch
Video screen capture for certain games is the latest addition. New profile icons flaunting characters from two of the most popular games, the Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game.
The update makes it easier to transfer user profiles and store data on another network. Pre-purchase option is accessible for selected games on Nintendo eShop.
While video capture is an awesome feature, it’s the forwarding of user profiles and stored data that gives this update a major overhaul.
Until now, once a user launched a game on a system he or she had to stuck with it. If you possessed another Switch, or in case your old Switch was lost or damaged, your stored data was erased with it. Cloud saving is not in the sight, at least capability to transfer stored data is handy .
Nintendo details: “Once the process is complete, the user information, the associated save data, and the software purchased with the user account that is transferred will no longer be available on the source console.”
