Intelligence Is Not Synonymous With Success, Says A SpaceX Engineer

It is an accepted thought since time immemorial that intelligence is something synonymous with success. The more intelligent you are, the more successful you will be is what the old maxim of life says. But here’s something that breaks that belief to pieces. This inspirational idea is coming from someone who has worked with Elon Musk.

It is a set fact that intelligence is just a small part and a fraction of a thing that is needed to be successful in your missions, Jim Cantrell revealed. He said that intelligence is a tool to be successful more than being an ingredient.

An answer given by the engineer who is a member of SpaceX founding team with Elon Musk explains that success is the result of a blend of three things. The first thing among them is that you must follow your passion. You can not achieve anything until you love what you do. Nothing much can be gained without passion.

The second thing is you should not do something you are not good at. Everyone is endowed with some special talent and success can be had only when a talent meets passion. Third and equally important thing is to make the convergence of talent and passion to beam at something productive. Something that can be sold in the market or admired by people. If you try to achieve something that is not worthy in the world, then you can never achieve something to which people call success.

To sum up, intelligence is something that helps a person do or learn things more quickly than others, but it’s only an ingredient and not the whole to be successful in life.
